Day 3

Did I get dumped? Or does it just feel like it?Still no word following the horrible discussion with the (ex?) partner earlier in the week.

My house is a mess. My eyes are red-raw. My nose is snuffly, and I have a pounding headache…

The sole consolation is that I am looking after myself. I’ve managed to workout every day since he left. I’ve been eating well, have managed to resist caffeine, and have only had a single glass of wine. (I’m going to permanently limit my wine intake to a maximum of two glasses – whatever the occasion. That should keep stupidity at bay.)

My friends have been amazing. I’ve been invited out every day. Mostly I’ve been keeping to myself, but it’s been nice to have the invitations. Good thing I had this week off work…

Enough of my morbid rantings – in other news:

  • I’ve FINALLY started painting my fence! It’s been on my ‘to-do’ list for about a year! Typically, it’s been raining a lot this week, so I haven’t achieved as much as I would have liked, but still – it’s progress… The colour looks great. It was the perfect choice for my yard. I have pics to post to show you, but I can’t get the Active X working on my laptop at the moment (IE keeps returning errors – I wish they’d stop playing with the WordPress dashboard ! Hurrumph!) so I’m currently unable to categorise my posts or add pics! FRUSTRATING!
  • One of my boys’ fish died. This is the second one they’ve lost since we got the fish in May. It didn’t upset them as much as losing the first one. I think it helps that they have a few fish now; and it’s important for them to become familiar with the concept of loss.
  • The handy-man who was supposed to be getting some odd-jobs done around my house today didn’t turn up. I’m a tad miffed…
